Senior Manager, Analytical Development

The Senior Manager, Analytical Development will support the development of analytical methods.
The Senior Manager demonstrates success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought. Works on complex problems in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the work of analytical development scientists.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the analytical development team.
- Plan future projects including budget and timelines.
- Ensure project timelines are met.
- Serve as a process and scientific subject‑matter expert.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP processes, training and procedures.
- Respond to reports from internal and external audits.
- Direct validation, development and qualification studies and reports.
- Master’s degree or PhD in biochemistry, chemical engineering, biophysics, biology or related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of process development experience.
- 10+ years of experience developing protein purification processes.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a GMP environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Experience with protein biochemistry, especially immunoglobulin chemistry.
- Experience in assay development, assay validation, GMP method development and technical transfer of methods.
- Ability to effectively manage staff and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and adherence to cGMP procedures.
- Strong organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication in preparing spreadsheets, data analysis and presentations.
- Independence in designing experiments and providing recommendations.
