How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access at community entry points, verify authorization, issue visitor access instructions, and maintain accurate access‑related logs.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, property concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Communicate clearly with residents, property management, and emergency responders while documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
