Join Rack Electric as a Residential Electrical Apprentice – Service & Standby Power. Step into a true apprenticeship where you’ll learn by doing. Picture your day starting alongside experienced service technicians, loading material, reviewing the work order, and heading to a residential job site. By mid-morning you’re helping swap a panel, hanging new outdoor lighting, or running a branch circuit. In the afternoon, you might assist on a generator installation and help mount an automatic transfer switch (ATS), bend and install conduit, and pull wire to wrap the project.

From week one, you’ll be part of a crew that values safety, craftsmanship, and reliability—growing skills that set you up for a long career in the trade.

• Support experienced Electrical Service Technicians on residential install and repair projects (panel changes, indoor/outdoor lighting, running circuits, ceiling fan installs, and more).
• Assist with generator installations and ATS switch setups.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and help complete all tasks required to finish each project professionally and safely.

No experience? No problem. You’ll begin on our underground crew and follow a structured path forward. Within 6–12 months, we promote to the next level based on performance, and we pay for your electrical schooling at the ABC Institute. Expect weekly training meetings to accelerate your progress.

• Neat, professional appearance; well-spoken and polite demeanor.
• 2 years experience required.
• Working knowledge of the NEC.
• Your own basic electrical hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license (we will run your license prior to interview) and reliable transportation.
• Drug-free (we are a Drug-Free company).
• Experience with residential customers is a plus.
• Professional, reliable, hard-working, and eager to learn the trade.
