Job Description
Builds raceways, pulls wire, terminates electrical runs. Tests and troubleshoots electrical systems. Reads blueprints and electrical diagrams to determine scope, layout, and requirements of the job. Gathers tools, materials, and equipment needed for scheduled assignments. Completes general paperwork as required. Performs general housekeeping and cleans work site when job completed. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent. Local certifications and licenses as required. 4 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Certification/ License Requirements
Electrician - Installer, Journeyman Electrician.
Driver's License RequirementsAn appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications- Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, one‑lines, and schematics
- Installing and bending conduit (rigid, EMT, PVC‑coated, stainless steel)
- Wire pulling, termination, and labeling
- Motor control centers (MCCs)
- Panels, breakers, transformers
- Lighting and receptacles
- Grounding and bonding per NEC and project specs
- Using testing equipment (multimeter, megger, continuity testers)
- Understanding lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Jobsite safety awareness (OSHA, confined spaces, electrical hazards)
- Industrial Motor & Pump Systems
- High‑horsepower pumps
- Submersible pumps
- Blowers and mixers
- Motor starters
- Soft starters
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Understanding motor rotation, overloads, and phase balance
- Control Systems & Instrumentation (Very Important)
- Control wiring (24
VDC, 120
VAC) - Instrumentation cabling (shielded, twisted pair)
- Level sensors
- Flow meters
- Pressure and temperature instruments
- Basic understanding of PLC I/O wiring

Skills And AbilitiesIntermediate knowledge of electrical controls and distribution wiring. Intermediate ability to read blueprints and schematics. Intermediate ability to use the various tools required for the trade. Basic writing and reading skills. Basic mathematics skills.
