Service Technician

Position Summary: The Residential Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert responsible for alleviating concerns customers may have regarding a security system, advising customers and the customer care center on system status, and conducting inspections.

• Services fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
• Follow and complete required processes of wired/wireless technology and connection procedures.
• Test and validate system signals/communication with central monitoring to properly establish service.
• Act as a customer service champion, helping customers fix issues and understand protection.
• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Read blueprints, building and electrical plans to complete equipment repairs.
• Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read building electrical, sprinkler plans and blueprints.
• Physical capability: standing, stooping, lifting, climbing, crawling.

• Pay range $15.98–$29.67 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
