Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Industrial Electrician – Boca Raton, FL Position Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of all facility electrical systems and equipment, performing electrical and minor mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs within a cGMP manufacturing facility.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of all facility electrical systems, including preventive and corrective electrical maintenance, documentation in CMMS, and systems such as WFI, autoclaves, HVAC, steam, high‑capacity chillers, ultra‑low temperature refrigeration, cooling towers, and liquid pumping.
- Respond to emergencies, repair systems, and ensure safety and availability of ADMA's equipment.
- On non‑supervised shifts, maintain continued operations, start/stop equipment, and coordinate additional personnel if needed.
- Apply knowledge of electrical system installation, operational techniques, safety compliance, instrumentation, controls, and building automation systems.
- Perform complex troubleshooting and repair of process measuring devices for weight, temperature, humidity, speed, flow, pH, and other factors.
- Provide technical assistance for investigations of equipment or system failures.
- Oversee technical repairs performed by outside contractors on process equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and governmental regulations and AMDA SOPs.
- Research codes and existing ADMA procedures for regulatory conformance.
- Ensure outside vendors and contractors are trained and compliant with applicable procedures and codes.
- Maintain plant cleanliness, free of debris or clutter.
- Assist in special projects and/or construction projects, including demolition, renovation, and new construction.
- Ability to follow cGMP’s and procedures with great attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Basic computer skills.
• 10 years of previous industrial electrical work in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of local, state, and National Electrical Code. Five years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/medical devices industry preferred. cGMP and ISO regulatory knowledge required. Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) a plus.
Education Requirements• High school diploma or equivalent plus two (2) years of technical or vocational training. Equivalent experience may substitute for technical/vocational training.
