Overview

Step into a Day on Our Sites Sun up, hard hat on—you walk the project with your crew leads, verify yesterday’s progress, and set priorities for the day. Before lunch, you’re running load calculations for a tenant improvement, reviewing engineered drawings, and finalizing a plan set bound for the building department. By afternoon, you’re coordinating with project managers, answering RFIs, and mentoring a rising journeyman on code interpretation.

You close the day with a quality and safety sweep, leaving the site buttoned up and ready for tomorrow.

What You Will Own
  • Leadership of commercial and field electrical projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards.
  • Electrical engineering assessments, load calculations, and system design development for diverse commercial scopes.
  • Preparation, review, and submission of electrical drawings and documents for permit approval with the building department.
  • Cross-functional coordination with project managers, electricians, and trade partners to execute installations seamlessly.
  • Regular site visits to track progress, troubleshoot, and uphold safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Hands‑on technical guidance and mentorship for field teams.
  • Continuous monitoring of changes to national and local electrical codes and best practices.
What You Bring
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician credential.
  • 10+ years of experience focused on commercial and field electrical work.
  • Strong grounding in electrical engineering concepts and load calculations.
  • Ability to read, draft, and submit electrical plans for permits.
  • Fluency with applicable electrical codes and regulations.
  • Analytical mindset, problem‑solving ability, and project management discipline.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication.
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced settings.
  • Bonus: proficiency with electrical design/planning software.
