Responsibilities

The Printhead Refurbishment Lab Technician manages the end‑to‑end restoration of industrial inkjet heads, starting with intake inspections to verify physical integrity and documentation. The technician performs baseline function testing and diagnostic scans to map nozzle health, feeding this data into an automated, data‑driven cleaning loop. This loop dynamically targets blockages and continuously evaluates the hardware until the printhead either meets strict quality standards for shipment or is officially deemed unfixable.

Standard laboratory duties require the technician to maintain operational readiness and safety by performing daily calibrations on diagnostic rigs and automated machinery, preparing and disposing of specialized chemical solvents and ink wastes according to safety protocols, and upholding strict cleanroom standards to prevent particulate contamination. The technician is also responsible for administrative and logistical support, which includes logging workflow data into internal inventory tracking systems and monitoring stock levels of vital lab consumables like filters, wipes, and chemical solutions to ensure uninterrupted production.

  • Performs a variety of technical duties under supervision.
  • Responsible for technical assistance, investigation, evaluation, and repair on customer and company‑owned equipment.
  • Follows documented policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skill and ability in basic soldering.
  • Works with company facilities, shipping and receiving clerks.
Skills & Expertise
  • HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Makes able to lift up to 50 lbs. Protective gear may be required.
  • Experience using multimeters for testing continuity and resistance, oscilloscopes for visualizing electrical signals and waveforms.
  • Experience reading circuit schematics, fabricating prototypes on breadboards or printed circuit boards (PCBs), and performing precision soldering for repairs.
Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate: $17.20–$25.49. Eligible for a transportation allowance.

Workstyle

Full‑time, on‑site.
