The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automatic and tunnel car wash systems, chemical delivery systems, and water treatment/reclaim systems. This position requires strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills, along with a commitment to preventive maintenance and minimizing equipment downtime.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or technical/vocational training.
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance or field service experience, or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or PLC systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, drives, and control systems.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, reach, twist, perform repetitive hand movements, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Adequate vision to read engineering documents, work orders, and technical manuals. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no impaired driving convictions within the past five years and no pending DUI-related charges).
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned South Florida territory daily, with occasional overnight travel.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and an on-call rotation as needed.
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Preventive Maintenance (PM) systems
- Forklift certification (training available if needed)
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Install, align, and calibrate machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Replace bearings, motors, belts, chains, pumps, valves, and other machine components.
- Complete maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation accurately.
- Follow OSHA regulations, company policies, and all safety procedures.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with customers and team members to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
