Rack Air Residential Service Do you enjoy pinpointing HVAC issues fast, communicating clearly, and leaving every home safer and more efficient than you found it? At Rack Air (a division of Rack), you’ll service residential and light commercial clients with precision and pride—backed by a supportive, family-owned company that’s been raising the bar since 1994.What you’ll do Travel between homes and light commercial sites to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.

Clean and adjust air handlers, ductwork, vents, and condensate drains to achieve peak performance.

Complete expert installations and system upgrades following strict safety and quality standards.

Explain diagnoses and recommendations in friendly, easy-to-understand terms.

Document service thoroughly and keep your vehicle and jobsite organized.

Support urgent service needs and participate in the on-call rotation.

Handle additional duties as assigned.

Installation pay is piece-rate: flat-rate split (lead 60% / helper 40%); non-install work is hourly

What it takes2–5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience (residential focus preferred)
EPA Certification (required)
Valid Driver’s License with two or more years of driving experience (required)
Advanced troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Adaptable, organized, and motivated by fast-paced work Physical requirements

Lift 50 lbs routinely; occasionally 100 lbs Climb ladders; reach attics and crawlspaces; maneuver in tight spaces; push, pull, carry; use hand tools; perform fine-detail work Ability to drive

Indoor/outdoor work including attics and crawlspaces

Stand, walk, sit; communicate in person and by phone

Use hands for tools/controls; reach with hands/arms Regular stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching

Frequent exposure to extreme heat/cold and adverse weather conditions (wind, rain, ice, snow)
