This is a unique opportunity to join a team of talented individuals and influence the architecture and technical direction of a highly available, high-traffic, robust cloud based platform within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine!
** Job Responsibilities
*** Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure software applications using modern technologies and best practices.
* Lead the technical design and implementation of significant features and modules within our product suite, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines and company standards.
* Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver effective solutions.
* Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards, performance, and security best practices.
* Identify and resolve complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
* Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
* Contribute to the improvement of software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
* Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for production systems as needed.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending their adoption where appropriate.
** Job Qualifications
*** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion focused on web-based applications or enterprise-level software.
* Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript (Node.js, React, Angular).
* Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate code generation, automate boilerplate reduction, and streamline debugging workflows.
* Proven ability to leverage LLMs to refactor legacy codebases, improve code readability, and generate comprehensive documentation and unit tests.
* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
