A confidential defense logistics and distribution facility is seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee day-to-day shipping operations in a secure, fast-paced environment. This leadership role is ideal for a hands‑on professional with strong organizational skills and a proven track record in shipping, logistics, and team management.

• Oversee and coordinate all daily shipping operations to ensure high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and security.
• Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and implement strategies to maintain efficient workflows.
• Track and document all shipments in accordance with company policies and security protocols.
• Liaise with external carriers, freight providers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analyze shipment data to identify trends, resolve issues, and optimize operations.
• Lead team meetings, communicate performance metrics, and provide regular updates to management.
• Train, mentor, and support team members on shipping procedures and logistics best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, federal regulations, and internal quality requirements.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations, including team leadership.
• Vantage Clear certification or equivalent U.S. security clearance is required.
• Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with shipping software, tracking systems, and basic data analysis.
