Medical Receptionist

The Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Receptionist performs basic administrative, clerical, operational, customer support, and computational tasks, typically handling routine and patterned assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a switchboard or multi‑line phone system and maintain long‑distance call logs
  • Schedule appointments
  • Verify insurance coverage
  • Collect patient charges
  • Report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at the Conviva Boerne Care Center located at 136 Old San Antonio Rd Suite 406 Boerne, TX 78006
  • Support Humana's tuberculosis (TB) screening program, including required TB screening
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in a medical office
  • Six months to one year of multi‑phone line experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of related experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Associate degree
  • Experience with ECW
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Pay Range: $38,000 – $45,800 per year (base pay; varies by location and experience). The position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
