This is a full-time on-site position located in Boerne, TX, for a Special Inspector. The Special Inspector will conduct construction materials testing and assessments according to project specifications and standards. Daily responsibilities include performing field observations, documenting progress, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with engineering plans. Collaboration with project managers and other team members will be an essential part of the role to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Qualifications- Experience in field observations, performing construction materials testing, and ensuring project compliance
- Strong technical knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, construction materials, and testing methods
- Proficiency in report preparation, documentation, and compliance protocols
- Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Certification in construction materials testing or related fields (e.g., ACI, NICET) is an advantage
- Previous experience in geotechnical or construction materials testing is preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel between job sites
- High school diploma required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
