Position: Educational Aide - Boerne SY 26-27

• INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT PRIMARY FUNCTION Assist teachers in preparation and execution of classroom activities and management DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Promote the mission and philosophy of
• Ki Charter Academy Assist teachers/students in academic success as well as measuring and tracking results
• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teachers; work with individual students or small groups Maintain a positive working relationship with teachers, administration and facility members
• Help maintain administrative records and prepare required reports a neat and orderly classroom
• Respond to directives from teachers and administrative staff in an efficient and timely manner
• Maintain classroom and manage students when the teacher is away
• Help supervise students throughout the day, inside and outside the classroom
• Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter Communicate professionally and courteously with students, faculty, facility and staff members
• Organize materials and adapt lessons for the specific academic needs of the students or assist teachers in preparing instructional materials
• Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events as assigned
• Manage and instruct students in a class room and laboratory situation in a temporary or long term situation
• Utilize computers effectively in the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities
• Keep teachers informed of special needs or problems of individual students Evaluate student's progress and provide meaningful feedback and positive reinforcement as directed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
