Teacher SE Inclusion/Resource (BMSN) 26-27 SY

Starting Date: Aug 3, 2026

Pay Grade: Teacher Step Scale

Salary: $60,000 per year

Type of Assignment: Exempt

Reporting To: Campus Principal

Funding: This position is locally funded.

Position Summary: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for the subject and level assigned.
  • Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
  • ESL certification (candidates who do not already have this certification are required to obtain it during their first year of employment).
  • TX Reading Academies Certificate required for K-3 teachers.
  • Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check.

  • Knowledge of core academic subject assigned.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the district's curriculum requirements, including accommodations for individual student differences.
  • Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect an understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
  • Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.
  • Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula for special education students according to Individual Education Plans.
  • Work with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
  • Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers and oversee completion.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
  • Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned and sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal.
  • Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the school district.
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
  • Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Assist in selecting books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
  • Participate in staff development activities to improve job‑related skills.
  • Attend faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
  • Maintain daily attendance at work and punctuality.
  • Compile, maintain, and organize reports, records, and other required documentation.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, board policies, and district regulations.
  • Follow established campus and district routines to ensure compliance and consistency in operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions

Standard instructional equipment including computer and peripherals. Prolonged standing, frequent kneeling/squatting, bending, pushing/pulling, twisting. Frequent walking and keyboarding. Light lifting
