Summary

The Logic and Rhetoric School teacher provides instruction within the classical Christian tradition, guiding students through the logic and rhetoric stages of learning. Building upon the foundational knowledge acquired in Grammar School, the teacher helps students thoughtfully examine, articulate, and defend the truth, goodness, and beauty of God’s created order. Instruction is discussion-based and designed to develop critical thinking, logical reasoning, debate, and effective written and oral communication skills across all disciplines.

The teacher leads, instructs, disciples, and mentors students in a manner consistent with the School’s Statement of Faith and the Portrait of a Geneva Teacher. The teacher also partners purposefully with parents and collaborates collegially with fellow faculty and staff, actively pursuing ongoing intellectual and professional growth.
