Consideration for directly related experience supported by an official service record or experience affidavit. Annualized pay may be pro-rated based on actual start date.
Position Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
This position will be teaching the Texas Government course at Boerne HS in the Health Science PTECH program and taught in conjunction with San Antonio College (SAC).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for the subject and level assigned.
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Current automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate]. - Boerne ISD requires all Math, Science, Social Studies, English, and Special Education teachers to have ESL certification. If you do not hold the ESL requirement already, you will be required to obtain it during your 1st year of teaching.
- Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the candidate.

- Master's degree in political science or related field; or
- Master's degree in any discipline with eighteen (18) graduate hours of political science.
- The accepted course disciplines are comparative politics, government, international relations, political economy, politics, public administration, public affairs, public management and public policy.
- Candidate must be approved by San Antonio College.
