Overview
CAD Technician position at Matkin Hoover Engineering and Surveying (MHES) in Boerne, Texas. The candidate should be ambitious, results-driven, and looking to grow their skills.
Responsibilities- Collaborate within a team on residential, commercial, and federal land development projects.
- Perform drafting duties using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to support civil engineering design.
- Prepare construction documents, supplemental exhibits, and subdivision plats.
- Exercise judgment and initiative in the performance of duties.
- Support opportunities for advancement in project planning, client coordination, and production coordination by delivering accurate, complete, and timely deliverables.
- Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design preferred.
- Two years of experience in civil site design, preferably land development.
- Familiar with engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Experience in design and plan production.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- 40+ hours per week, as required.
- Monday through Friday.
