Customer Success Engineer

Requirements Must have:

• Strong coding skills, including the ability to read and debug .NET/C# and work with SQL.
• Understanding of automation pipelines; experience with browser automation tools such as Puppeteer or Puppeteer Sharp is an advantage.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI tools, especially frontier models like Claude, with sound judgment on when to rely on model output and when to verify it.
• Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
• Comfort with video calls and live client conversations.
• Methodical, curious troubleshooting mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to thrive on a small team and handle both technical fixes and client-facing support.
• Familiarity with institutional asset management or investment consultants is a plus.
• Experience with Azure, SQL Server, or support and ticketing systems is a plus.

• We own inbound support by reproducing, diagnosing, and resolving client-reported issues across our platform and consultant database automations.
• We troubleshoot automation workflows, including submission runs, data mapping, scheduling, and failures, and implement fixes.
• We handle client-facing communication through email and video calls.
• We use tools like Claude to speed up debugging, log analysis, and client communication.
• We convert recurring issues into documentation and internal tooling.
• We monitor and reduce resolution times while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
• We support the bridge between engineering and client relationships, helping clients get walkthroughs and keeping accounts running smoothly.
• We explore where AI can improve how we support clients and scale our operations.

We are APX Stream, a growing B2B SaaS platform that automates consultant database submissions for more than 130 institutional asset managers across over 60 integrations, including eVestment, Callan, Mercer, and Morningstar. Our small, fast-moving team works closely with frontier AI models from Claude, OpenAI, and open-source providers, and we value people who use these tools to debug faster, analyze logs, and eliminate repetitive work.

This is an in-person role with a strong mix of engineering and client interaction, and we offer a competitive salary of $50,000 to $70,000 per year along with 401(k), dental, health, and vision insurance.
