Job DescriptionThe CNC Machine & Facility Maintenance Technician (Maintenance Technician) is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities involving the effective maintenance of CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment, as well as the TSA facility itself.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Install and maintain equipment, including CNC machine tools, overhead cranes, plant air systems, lighting, HVAC systems, etc.
- Troubleshoot various electrical and mechanical issues.
- Assess machine faults and failures, recommend and implement improvements.
- Establish comprehensive Preventive Maintenance plans for all machines and equipment.
- Ensure proper inventory and supply levels are maintained for routine maintenance items.
- Perform other duties as assigned by site leadership.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational education or trade school preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Formal training in industrial blueprint/drawing reading and interpretation.
- Understanding of industrial safety laws, codes, and practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical ladder logic diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Self‑motivating, results‑driven with great attendance, and a positive attitude.
- Mechanically inclined with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while taking initiative and performing with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF); a plus.
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM); a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to see color to discern color‑coded wiring.
- Stand, kneel, bend, stretch, push, pull, and move for extended periods as needed.
- Traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
- Access and navigate all areas of the production facility.
- Lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
