Neurology Institute of San Antonio, a Vivo Infusion Company, is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in dementia and memory disorders. The RN will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals experiencing cognitive impairment (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body Dementia, Vascular Dementia). The RN will serve as the primary clinical liaison between the neurologist, the patient and caregivers, focusing on diagnostic support and symptom management, and will support other clinical functions across the Institute as needed.
Compensation- Pay Range: $38.00 - $42.00/hour
- Bonus Plan Target: 5% annually (Based on performance)

Reports to: Clinical Operations Manager
Location: Boerne
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Specialized Clinical Assessment
- Behavioral Monitoring:
Assess for neuropsychiatric symptoms including agitation, sun downing, wandering, and depression. - Safety Evaluations:
Perform functional assessments to identify risks related to driving, medication management, and fall hazards in the home. - Care Coordination & Management
- Triage:
Manage patient calls and portal messages - Medication Management:
Support process to provide necessary care coordination documentation to external entities as needed to facilitate pre-authorization and insurance coverage. Engage with patients and providers to ensure medication is provided in accordance with the established plan of care. - Interdisciplinary
Collaboration:
Work closely with other specialist providers, social workers, and geriatricians to execute plan of care - Family & Caregiver Support
- Education:
Help families understand disease progression and plan of care - Resource Navigation:
Refer families to community resources such as adult day programs, respite care, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
- Education:
Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred). - Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. - Certification: BLS required.
- CNRN (Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse) preferred.
- Experience:
1–3 years of experience in neurology or geriatrics (preferred but not required).

The work environment is indoors in a medical office and is generally quiet, including sounds of medical equipment.
