Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will deliver compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department. This role includes the stabilization of critical patients and the ability to manage a variety of emergency situations effectively.

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift/Workdays: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirements:
  Rotating weekends or 4 weekend shifts per schedule; holidays as per unit policy

Required Skill Set:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Meditech

Licensure:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in Texas required. Temporary licenses will not be accepted.

Scrub Color:
Navy scrub top and pant, navy or white scrub jacket.

• Nail Policy:
  Clean and healthy
• Hair:
  Neat and clean without extreme styles or colors
• Facial Hair:
  Mustaches, beards, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
• Tattoos:
  Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Piercings:
  Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

• Freestanding emergency center operational 24/7, 365 days a year
• 15 treatment rooms including trauma/cardiac care, emergency treatment, and observation beds
• Comprehensive range of services including radiology and laboratory
• Immediate intervention available for serious emergencies
• Air and ground transport services to advanced care facilities

Position is located in Boerne, TX.
