Description:
This position is for a registered nurse in the emergency department.
The emergency department provides 24/7 care and is equipped to handle a variety of medical emergencies.
Common patient complaints include chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, and extremity injuries.
The staff stabilizes critical patients experiencing conditions like cardiac arrest, stroke, trauma, and overdose.
After stabilization, patients are transferred to a facility for advanced care.
The department is fully equipped with treatment rooms, diagnostic equipment, and monitoring capabilities.
Immediate intervention is available for serious emergencies, especially those requiring time-sensitive treatment.
Documentation will be performed using the Meditech system.
Traveling nurses are required to float to different areas as needed.
The dress code includes navy scrubs for nurses, with guidelines for hair, nails, and body art.
Policies are in place regarding attendance and floating requirements.
