Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel Contract)

Boerne, TX | Freestanding Emergency Center

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Expected 36 hours/week

• Provide direct patient care in a 24/7 freestanding emergency center serving a diverse patient population including adult and pediatric cases
• Assess, stabilize, and manage patients presenting with conditions such as chest pain, stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory distress, and pediatric illness
• Perform and assist with urgent care procedures including stroke and STEMI protocols and pediatric emergency interventions
• Utilize the Meditech electronic documentation system to accurately record patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy — all travelers must comply with the facility's Floating Policy
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage per unit policy

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
• Active Texas RN License required — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required

• Prior experience with Meditech electronic health records system
• Experience managing high-acuity cases including STEMI, stroke, and trauma in an emergency setting
• Familiarity with pediatric emergency care protocols

• Opportunity to work in a full-service, 24/7 freestanding emergency center with access to advanced diagnostic equipment including CT, ultrasound, dedicated x-ray, and telemetry
• Gain experience in a dynamic ER environment treating a broad spectrum of emergencies with direct access to a larger acute care hospital network for critical patient transfers
