About American Leak Detection

American Leak Detection is an established and nationally recognized leader in accurate, non-invasive leak detection and repair services. Our San Antonio office serves residential and commercial customers throughout San Antonio, Austin, and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking an outgoing and motivated Business Development & Marketing Representative to help strengthen our existing referral relationships, develop new business opportunities, and increase awareness of our services throughout the community.

Position Overview

The Business Development & Marketing Representative will be responsible for developing referral partnerships, generating new business, conducting outbound sales activities, and supporting the company's social media and marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate is confident making cold calls, enjoys meeting new people, follows up consistently, and understands how to develop professional relationships into reliable, long‑term referral sources.

Previous experience in restoration, water mitigation, plumbing, insurance, property management, construction, roofing, pool services, or another related industry is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout San Antonio, Austin, and the surrounding areas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with restoration companies, insurance adjusters and agents, property managers, plumbers, general contractors, roofers, pool companies, real estate professionals, commercial businesses, and other potential referral partners.
  • Schedule meetings and presentations to introduce American Leak Detection's services.
  • Maintain regular communication with current referral partners and identify opportunities to strengthen those relationships.
  • Follow up promptly and consistently on leads, referrals, and potential business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline while documenting calls, visits, meetings, referrals, and follow‑up activities.
  • Work with company leadership to establish business‑development goals, target accounts, and outreach strategies.
  • Attend networking events, industry meetings, trade shows, association meetings, and community events on behalf of the company.
  • Help create and manage content for company social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, and Google Business Profile.
  • Assist with email campaigns, marketing materials, referral programs, promotional events, and community outreach.
  • Track business‑development and marketing results and provide regular progress reports to company leadership.
  • Learn and maintain a strong understanding of the company's services and the types of customers who benefit from them.
  • Represent American Leak Detection professionally and uphold the company's reputation for accuracy, reliability, and excellent customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous business development, outside sales, account management, marketing, or community outreach experience.
  • Experience in restoration, water mitigation, plumbing, insurance, property management, construction, roofing, pool services, or another related industry is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and approaching new prospective customers and referral partners.
  • Experience managing or creating content for business social media accounts.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for face‑to‑face meetings
  • Professional, outgoing, organized, and self‑motivated.
  • Strong follow‑up skills and the ability to manage multiple contacts and opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining accountable for established goals.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, Canva, or similar business and marketing tools.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel locally for meetings, networking events, and business‑development visits.
