Opportunity

Field Procurement Representative is responsible for executing field procurement activities in direct support of onsite construction projects. This site-based role requires mobilization to the construction project site location near Bogalusa, LA for a long‑term assignment. The role works closely with field construction teams, project management, engineering, logistics, and suppliers to ensure timely, cost‑effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services required at the job site, and serves as the primary field procurement point of contact for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source project materials/supplies, equipment, rentals, and construction services as requisitioned by the project and execute purchase orders in support of onsite construction activities.
  • Prepare documents for bidding, evaluation, negotiations, pre‑award and post‑award activities for field procurement.
  • Execute approved requisitions into accurate and complete purchase orders in accordance with relevant Corporate, Project and Supply Chain procedures.
  • Ensure pricing, scope, delivery requirements, and commercial terms are aligned with approved requisitions and contracts.
  • Coordinate field procurement process activities with other groups within the team including Project Controls, Legal, BV Fleet, Risk Management, etc.
Field & Project Support
  • Work directly with site construction teams, superintendents, and project managers to understand near‑term and long‑term field procurement needs.
  • Support expediting, delivery coordination, and issue resolution to meet construction schedules.
  • Respond quickly to urgent field procurement needs while maintaining compliance with established processes.
  • Provide basic training of processes and programs with project individuals (Supply Chain procedures, Oracle, etc.).
Supplier Management
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, delivery schedules, documentation, and site requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on logistics, shipping instructions, and on‑site delivery constraints. Assist with supplier performance tracking, issue resolution, and corrective actions as needed.
Documentation & Systems
  • Maintain accurate field procurement records and file in the documentation repository.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
Compliance & Controls
  • Adhere to company field procurement policies, ethical standards, and delegated authority limits.
  • Ensure purchases comply with project contracts, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Support coordination with tax, legal, and finance teams as required for project compliance.
Coordination & Communication
  • Act as a liaison between the field, procurement, logistics, and financial teams.
  • Participate in project meetings related to field procurement status, material availability, and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively communicate field procurement risks, delays, or constraints to project stakeholders.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, purchasing, business, construction management, or a related field or equivalent field procurement experience.
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support for construction, industrial, or capital projects.
  • Working knowledge of purchase orders, requisitions, and supplier coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced field environment.
  • Advanced experience supporting on‑site or field‑based construction projects.
  • Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., Oracle or similar platforms).
  • Advanced understanding of construction materials, equipment rentals, and field services.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional project teams.
