This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.
This position requires a U.S. Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.
Position SummaryThe AR AP Accountant performs a range of duties related to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. Accounts Receivable duties include cash application, collections, processing credit applications, and month‑end reconciliations. Accounts Payable duties include coding invoices accurately and timely, processing payment runs, performing prepaid analysis, commissions analysis, and month‑end reconciliations.
Key Position Accountabilities- Oversight of outsourced functions for both AR & AP
- Ensure that relationships with external customers & vendors are well maintained to resolve issues as they may arise
- Works closely with other internal departments to resolve any payable‑related discrepancies that would cause delayed vendor payments
- Assist with year‑end audit and SOX compliance reviews, providing support for all Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable items
- General Accounting duties as assigned, including but not limited to general ledger account analysis and journal entry posting
- Proficiency with basic Excel formulas such as VLOOKUPs and use of pivot tables
- BS degree in Accounting preferred
- 4+ years of relevant work experience preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Strong bias for action
- Detail oriented and accurate
