Own the day-to-day accounting operations for the company: accounts payable, accounts receivable, weekly payroll, bank reconciliations, and 401(k) administration.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Accounts Receivable
- Match customer payments to invoices and keep AR clean and current - Collections & Credit
- Make collections calls on past-due accounts, monitor credit terms, and run credit checks on new dealer accounts - Account Reconciliation
- Reconcile payments and resolve short-pays, deductions, and chargebacks on customer accounts - Accounts Payable
- Enter vendor bills into Quick Books and prepare weekly payment batches for approval - Payroll
- Process weekly payroll end-to-end, including overtime, and post payroll to Quick Books - 401(k) Administration
- Administer the company 401(k) plan: deferral changes, timely remittances, census data, and year-end compliance support - Bank Reconciliations
- Complete monthly bank account reconciliations - Commissions
- Print and mail monthly commission checks - Sales Tax
- Prepare and file quarterly CA sales tax returns - Payment Processing
- Process customer credit card payments - Month-End Support
- Support month-end close: inventory adjustment entries, prepaid and accrual schedules, and recurring revenue reporting by channel and product family
Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. This position description is intended to guide the activities of Accounting & Payroll Specialist.

- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting operations experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or another inventory-based business
- Hands-on experience running payroll end-to-end (weekly or biweekly)
- Quick Books proficiency and strong Excel skills
- Experience with retirement plan administration (401(k) remittances, census, compliance testing support) is a strong plus
- Familiarity with sales tax filings; multi-state exposure is a plus
- Accuracy and follow-through
- Discretion with confidential payroll and benefits information
