Job Title:
Civil Engineer
Job DescriptionLead and support civil engineering design projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway components. Prepare engineering reports, technical calculations, design documents, and permitting packages. Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Participate in client meetings, municipal hearings, and on-site evaluations as needed. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee work performed by junior engineers, drafters, and field personnel, while providing quality assurance and quality control on design deliverables.
Responsibilities- Lead and support civil engineering design projects, focusing on site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway components.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, technical calculations, design documents, and permitting packages.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in client meetings, municipal hearings, and on-site evaluations as required.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including NYSDEC and local municipalities.
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers, drafters, and field personnel.
- Provide quality assurance and quality control on all design deliverables.
- 7+ years of experience in civil engineering.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Experience with site development, grading, drainage systems, and utility routing.
- Expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic engineering and land development.
- Experience designing for residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- PE certification.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in site layout design, grading, drainage systems, utility routing, and sanitary system design.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes in NYC, Nassau, and surrounding areas.
This is a Permanent position based out of Bohemia, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $/yr. Competitive compensation package. Health, dental, and vision benefits. 401(k) with company match.
