Job Title
Directly supports shop operations in achieving weekly priorities aligned with SQDIP within Team. In consultation with Value Stream leader, facilitates opportunities to improve flow through the assignment of work within team. Provides coaching and support to fellow teammates.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Support daily meetings and weekly commits with the team.
- Provides guidance to the team for weekly priorities as they relate to SQDIP targets.
- Helps team identify and drive safety concerns to closure.
- Tracks production commits, (planned vs actual) with team. Works within production schedules and deadlines.
- Facilitates team CDM meetings, updates & monitors CDM board daily.
- Acts as Water Spider, ensuring materials and supplies are delivered to the production workstations as needed.
- Performs Assembler (or Operator, or Technician) duties as needed in accordance with required Certification standards
- Provides daily metrics from the previous day of delivery and quality non-conformances
- Assists the Value Stream Leader on identifying work assignments for Team when necessary;
Proactively prioritizes jobs based on customer needs; communicates detailed work status to VSL - Supports team in practices & procedures. Cross trains and provides technical assistance to team including support systems such as TipQA, Proficy, Kronos, Windchill, Gensuite, GE Learning, etc.
- Work with FLIGHT DECK Facilitator, and Value Stream support team (i.e. MEs & QE, production control).
- Facilitates troubleshooting of ESD, FOD, Calibration, 5S defects. Enters Maximo tickets for findings from ESD audits.
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified in IPC- 610
- For Assembler Team Lead: must meet Minimum requirements for Assembler 2 Certification J-Std-001
- For Technician Team Lead: must meet requirements for Technician 3
Experience:
- 1 – 5 yrs previous experience in a manufacturing or operational role, utilizing basic lean principles and practices.
- Must be qualified to hold the assembler, operator, or technician role related to the value stream for which the team leader role with reside
- This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
Skill Level
Required:
- Must understand appropriate labor vouchering guidelines & targets (i.e. DLP, NPT, etc.)
- Must have a proficient understanding of manufacturing and operational processes & procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities with minimal guidance.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and implementation of lean practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey concepts and facilitate CDMs.
- Demonstrated ability in receiving guidance and supervision, following work rules, safety practices, work procedures; meeting deadlines; and punctuality and attendance standards.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers (SQDIP)
- Familiarity with Daily Management, awareness of Lean Manufacturing methodologies
Desired
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent two-year degree from an accredited university or technical school, OR bachelor's degree in manufacturing operations, business or related discipline
- Basic computer skills (MS Office including Outlook, basic Excel)
The base pay range for this position is $34 - $36/hr the specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
