Position: Manufacturing Engineer I

Manufacturing Engineer I

As the Manufacturing Engineer I, you support production engineering initiatives that improve the assembly, manufacturability, and quality of high-reliability electronic products. You collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve product quality, manufacturability, and production efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Partner with manufacturing, production, quality, and design engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve production readiness.
  • Design manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and production aids that improve assembly processes, repeatability, and operational efficiency.
  • Recommend, evaluate, and implement engineering changes to improve product performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost.
  • Operate and maintain 3D printers to produce prototypes, tooling, and fixtures using a variety of materials, including ESD-safe filaments.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality by assisting with troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and corrective actions related to mechanical design issues.
  • Evaluate production methods and recommend improvements that increase throughput, reduce scrap, and improve first-pass yield.
  • Assist in developing standardized work instructions and assembly procedures for electronic products.

Qualifications and

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechatronics preferred), with a strong understanding of electronics and electronic components.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an Engineering and Manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status. Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.

Preferred Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of drafting practices, CAD standards, and applicable IPC, military, and industry standards.
  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and engineering change processes. Along with ECO/ECN implementation.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
