- The Equipment Operator, Digital Manufacturing has a significant impact on the overall efficiency and accuracy of the labeling process.
- By operating and maintaining the equipment used for digital labeling, the operator ensures that labels are produced in a timely manner and meet required quality standards.
- Responsible for setting up all computerized digital equipment for print production runs using proprietary software applications according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Monitors and troubleshoots operations during the run and processes rejects according to WIs.
- Ensures that the equipment and materials are operated and maintained at the highest standards, following SOPs including post-production equipment cleaning, keeping the equipment room organized, and maintaining the manufacturing warehouse in a clean and organized manner.
- Inspects printed material during production and corrects any printing mistakes to ensure the printed sheets align with job order and customer profile specifications, as well as quality and construction specifications and cGMP standards. Understands and follows all SOPs and WIs that relate to equipment operations and applies current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) in all areas of responsibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
- Preferred:
Experience in a cGMP environment
- Knowledge and experience in the printing industry and proficiency in computer operations, including data transfer and file management.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to accurately read measurements, troubleshoot issues and identify potential solutions associated with a variety of constructions.
- Skills in handling and mounting flexible tooling, performing roll splicing using automated equipment, and operating computerized digital equipment are also important.
- Detail-oriented and the ability to work in an organized manner.
- Must be capable of handling confidential information and communicating in a professional manner with internal customers.
- Fast-paced environment which relies on teamwork to ensure jobs are completed within established timelines.
- Ability to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 70 lbs.
- You will support packaging and manufacturing operations by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialized folding and gluing equipment while ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot folder-gluer and related manufacturing equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor production quality and conduct in-process quality checks
- Read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and measurements
- Follow and document work according to GMP, SOPs, and safety protocols
- Accurately complete production documentation and maintenance records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency
- Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve equipment or process issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Preferred Fields of Study:
Technical/Mechanical
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or maintenance experience
- Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair preferred
- Experience working in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred
- Experience with folding machines, press operations, or similar specialized equipment is a plus
- Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and quality control practices
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and control systems preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 lbs
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
- Willingness to handle chemicals and work in an industrial manufacturing environment
