the Role

Join our team as an Electronics Assembler III where precision, soldering skill, and hands‑on electronics craftsmanship are essential. You will disassemble, reassemble, test, and troubleshoot complex power conversion and control products, ensuring they meet strict quality and safety standards. This role is central to delivering products that power aviation technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision soldering and rework on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic sub‑assemblies to IPC standards.
  • Disassemble and reassemble chassis, sub‑assemblies, and components with minimal instruction while maintaining high quality.
  • Set up and operate test equipment: digital/analog voltmeters, oscilloscopes, Hi‑Pot testers, and other diagnostic tools; interpret schematics to isolate and repair faults.
  • Mentor and cross‑train teammates in assembly, soldering best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications; recommend process and quality improvements.
  • Maintain organized workstations, calibration of tools, and strict adherence to safety procedures and SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
Required Qualifications
  • Hands‑on soldering experience (see specifics below).
  • Certifications:

    IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001, and IPC‑7711 (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience:

    3‑5 years of electronics assembly and testing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, gauges, schematics, and electronic test equipment.
  • Strong dexterity, excellent hand‑eye coordination, and basic computer skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
Preferred Soldering Skills And Experience
  • Demonstrated ability in both through‑hole and surface‑mount soldering (SMT and THT), including component replacement and rework.
  • Experience with soldering under microscope, using hot air rework stations, irons of varied wattages, and solder paste/flux handling.
  • Familiarity with solder quality inspection per IPC‑A‑610 criteria and performing corrective rework per IPC‑7711.
  • Ability to solder fine‑pitch ICs, connectors, and power components reliably and repeatably.
