LIFT Community Pantry is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to reducing food insecurity and supporting local families in need. We provide nutritious groceries, essential household items, and community support services to ensure that no one in our area goes hungry.
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Secretary to join our leadership team and help keep our operations running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your administrative and communication skills to a meaningful cause.
Role OverviewThe Volunteer Secretary will assist with administrative duties, record keeping, and communication for the pantry’s leadership team. You’ll play an important role in helping coordinate meetings, maintain records, and ensure that our organization stays organized and compliant.
Key ResponsibilitiesAttend and take detailed minutes at board and committee meetings.
Maintain records of meeting agendas, minutes, and official documents.
Assist with scheduling meetings and sending communications to board members and volunteers.
Help organize and maintain digital and paper filing systems.
Support communication between leadership, volunteers, and community partners.
Participate in pantry events and assist with general administrative needs as required.
QualificationsStrong organizational and communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency (email, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office).
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Prior administrative or nonprofit experience is helpful but not required.
Passion for community service and helping others.

Reception hours are Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm
