At Varsity, we operate like a team chasing a championship — with high standards, strong culture, and a commitment to being the best in plumbing, heating, and air conditioning on Long Island.

Our growth is no accident. It’s driven by great people, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

When you join Varsity, you’re joining a company that:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of plumbing and boiler technicians to hit performance, revenue, and customer satisfaction goals
  • Act as a player-coach — supporting technicians in the field, taking calls, and performing ride-alongs for training, quality control, and mentorship
  • Drive KPIs and accountability including average ticket, conversion rates, maintenance agreement growth, callback reduction, and overall department profitability
  • Oversee daily scheduling and dispatch coordination across Nassau and Suffolk Counties to maximize efficiency and profitability
  • Ensure accurate job documentation, pricing integrity, and material usage tracking
  • Provide expert-level guidance on plumbing, water heater, wet heat and water quality system diagnostics, repairs, and replacement opportunities
  • Step in on complex service calls, customer escalations, and technical challenges to ensure exceptional outcomes
  • Train technicians on proper diagnostics, communication, presenting options, and delivering a world-class customer experience
  • Identify opportunities to improve department performance, technician development, and operational efficiency
  • Champion a “Best of Long Island” customer experience on every call
  • Oversee the permitting process for related jobs, ensuring permits are secured, inspections are passed, and projects remain compliant with all local and state requirements
  • Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve systems, processes, training, and team performance
What We’re Looking For You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
  • A natural leader and motivator who knows how to get the best out of people
  • A high-accountability operator who holds yourself and your team to elite standards
  • A strong communicator who can coach, correct, and inspire
  • Results-driven, with a focus on performance metrics and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment where change = opportunity
  • A problem-solver who takes ownership and gets things done
  • Passionate about building a winning culture and strong team dynamic
  • Technically strong in both plumbing and residential boiler systems
