Job Description Summary
Innoveering, a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Aerospace, is a dynamic engineering development company working on advanced, high‑speed propulsion engines to support the Department of Defense modernization priorities. The role involves collaborating with other engineers to design software applications that target specific hardware systems, including writing and debugging code and performing hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) and software‑in‑the‑loop (SWIL) testing.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and maintain software applications.
- Write and debug code for various platforms.
- Build software applications for multiple platforms.
- Troubleshoot and fix software issues.
- Write and maintain documentation.
- Organize and/or attend meetings with the team to discuss design tasks and schedule to meet deadlines.
- Perform HWIL and SWIL testing.
- Enrollment in a full‑time BS or BE program in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and coordinate between teams and disciplines.
- Experience with embedded hardware (microcontrollers, FPGAs, etc.).
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Independence, self‑motivation, strong analytical skills, and creative thinking.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and C#.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
- Ability to demonstrate status as a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under U.S. law.
- Experience with MATLAB and LabVIEW.
- Knowledge of operating systems and real‑time operating systems.
- Basic signal analysis and physics knowledge.
- Experience with FPGAs and ARM microcontrollers.
