Position Summary

The Warehouse & Distribution Manager leads daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced packaging operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and on-time distribution. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong safety and quality culture. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can develop teams, optimize processes, and deliver against service, cost, and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and associates (hourly and salaried), fostering a high‑performance, team‑oriented culture
  • Oversee end‑to‑end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking/packing, and shipping
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound materials in alignment with service level expectations
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels and operational metrics to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Drive safety, quality, and compliance with company policies, SOPs, cGMPs, and regulatory standards
  • Manage departmental budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control initiatives
  • Partner with Planning, Production, and cross‑functional teams to align on priorities and optimize material flow
  • Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Lean, TPM/NCE) to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and workflow design to support operational efficiency
  • Ensure proper use and accuracy of systems (e.g., SAP, EWM, and other warehouse management tools)
  • Lead workforce planning, including staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Support talent development through coaching, training, and participation in hiring processes
  • Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and ongoing training
  • Prepare and communicate operational reports, insights, and recommendations to leadership
  • Act as a liaison between leadership and frontline teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and performance
Experience & Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and manage change in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance metrics
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
