Guerdon is the premier manufacturer of wood-framed, multi-family, Hotels, industrial workforce housing, and light commercial modular buildings. Proudly made in the USA at our facility in Boise, Idaho. We serve clients across the Western United States and Canada, primarily in the hospitality and housing industries. With a strong focus on multi-family and multi-story apartments and hotels, our projects are custom-built to meet local codes, client specifications, and architectural design requirements.

Guerdon LLC is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant specializing in the accounting of product costs, recognized in cost of sales and inventory. We are looking for a motivated teammate who will thrive in fast paced, dynamic setting and can help our production operations and finance teams tackle some of their most pressing challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform balance sheet Inventory account reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., Net Suite) for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Initiate and manage the Cycle Count Program and work with the Inventory Control Analyst to reconcile count variances,
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other financial regulations.
  • Work with cross-functional team to implement enhancements to Net Suite inventory management modules and related procedures
  • Assist in budgeting and financial reporting; interpret financial data for management review.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support cost management strategies and process improvements.
  • Analyze costs related to materials, labor, overhead, scrap, rework, and returns; manage standard cost data and manufacturing variances.
  • Support inventory management including excess & obsolescence, stranded/orphaned inventory, physical counts, and related reporting.
  • Provide cost accounting support for audits, warranty, intercompany transactions, capitalized variances, and material recovery.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end closing entries and internal reports; support internal and external audits.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Actively contributes to team development; open to learning and sharing knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field CMA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a cost accountant in a manufacturing company.
  • Familiarity with construction accounting principles, job costing, and project management is highly desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and all Microsoft products, experience with Net Suite preferred.
  • Innate systems thinker that collaborates across the organization to facilitate business process innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of being very detail oriented.

Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and reach, stoop kneel.

  • Moderate noise (i.e., business offices with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
