Accounts Payable Technician

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.

Under general supervision, this role completes a variety of clerical/administrative activities supporting company-wide disbursement processing.

• The Accounts Payable Technician position involves multiple dimensions and responsibilities including:
• Invoice Identification
• Routing invoices to the correct Simplot Approver & Location
• Researching Invoice and Vendor history and payment methods
• Matching and processing purchase orders to the correct receipts for payment

• High school diploma/GED required
• Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university preferred

3+ years related experience and/or training

• Possess a thorough understanding of assigned accounting related functions (i.e. A/P, A/R)
• SAP experience preferred
• Able to operate general business machines such as computer, and similar office equipment efficiently and accurately
• Perform routine mathematical calculations
• Able to accurately complete high volume of work within specified time frames
• Must be punctual and have regular attendance
