Description: Accountant

Accountant Job Purpose: Responsible for handling and maintaining the fundamental aspects of financial recordkeeping, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, preparing monthly financial statements and completing annual tax forms. Candidates should be self-driven and organized accounting professionals capable of working in an extremely high paced environment and thriving under tight deadlines.

Accountant Job Duties:

  • Prepare and distribute monthly statements to tenants, clients, customers.
  • Prepare bank deposits and record receipts.
  • Code and input payables.
  • Pay bills.
  • Maintain General Ledgers via journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by owners.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Maintain accounting files.
  • Generate 1099's.
  • Assist CPAs with tax return preparation.
  • Generate Lien Releases
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Two year’s accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
  • Experience with and a solid understanding of Accrual accounting.
  • Knowledge and practical experience beyond basic bookkeeping.
  • Knowledge and practical experience regarding basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Quick Books programs
  • Experience with Yardi software is a plus.
  • Property Management related accounting experience is a plus.
  • Data entry proficiency and accuracy.
  • High degree of proficiency in office procedures, typing, adding machine, and other machines.
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Extremely well organized.
  • Conscientious of deadlines and a good track record of meeting the same.
  • Ability to analyze information.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Polite, courteous, and tactful with coworkers and the public.

Reports To: Executive Vice President

Location: Boise, Idaho

Position: Full-time

Salary: Pay commensurate with the experience
