Real Estate Fund Accountant — US GAAP & Yardi

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for multiple real estate investment funds.
• Oversee timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Manage accounts payable, including payment requests and vendor payments.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Conduct vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Use accounting software such as Yardi, Real Page and SAP for financial data management.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure accounting practices comply with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in the recruitment, training and development of a growing team of fund accountants.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Qualified CA (ICAI) or CPA with active certification.
• Strong working knowledge of US Accounting principles and US GAAP.
• Prior exposure to US Real Estate, through fund accounting, real estate finance or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, with significant expertise in the real estate sector.
• Strong experience in bank reconciliations, accounts payable and financial reporting.
• Exposure to Yardi, Real Page or SAP is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
