Accounting Manager

We're looking for an Accounting Manager to join a growing Finance team at a pivotal moment in Energy Hub's evolution. This is a role for a technically rigorous accountant who brings precision and depth to everything they touch — someone who is energized by complexity and holds the work to an uncompromising standard. You'll own the month-end close end-to-end, serve as the technical anchor of the accounting function, and have genuine influence over how our processes and reporting evolve.

You'll work with in a structure set by our parent company,  (Nasdaq: ALRM), while building something that truly serves Energy Hub.

• Own Energy Hub's month-end and quarter-end close — journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared with accuracy and on time, within the broader schedule set by  corporate accounting
• Evaluate and redesign the close process from the ground up, building scalable, repeatable workflows and the documentation and controls to support them
• Serve as the escalation point for complex or judgmental accounting matters, including revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Partner with  corporate accounting as Energy Hub's primary close liaison — meeting their standards for accuracy, documentation, and deadlines while translating requirements back to the Energy Hub team in a way that supports rather than impedes the business
• Partner with Energy Hub's internal teams — operations, customer success, FP&A — to provide the accounting guidance, context, and information they need to make better decisions
• Play a key role in Energy Hub's ERP migration — a multi-year initiative that will reshape how the accounting function operates — in partnership with Finance leadership and the broader  project team
• Take on additional projects as business needs evolve — this team is growing and the scope of this role will grow with it

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Active CPA license
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and close experience in a public company environment
• Deep, working knowledge of U.S. GAAP — you find the technical side of accounting genuinely interesting, not just necessary
• Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and build scalable solutions
• Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience redesigning and implementing a close process and/or building management reporting packages from the ground up
• Experience in SaaS, software, energy, or tech
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation or a subsidiary/parent company reporting structure
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)
