Maverick Car Company is not your typical dealership.
We're a growing automotive company that takes pride in doing things differently—from the way we buy and sell vehicles to the way we take care of our clients and our team.
We're looking for an experienced Automotive Title Clerk & Deal Processor who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and getting things done right the first time.
This is an important role within our Administration & Finance team. You'll have ownership over the paperwork and processes that help move our vehicle transactions from purchase or sale through funding, final closure, and title completion.
If you know your way around titles, DMV paperwork, deal jackets, trade payoffs, and the details that make a transaction complete
, we'd like to meet you.
- Process retail and wholesale vehicle titles
- Prepare and submit title and registration paperwork to the DMV
- Process out-of-state title and registration transactions
- Monitor outstanding titles and follow up on missing or delayed titles
- Process vehicle sales and purchase files through funding and final closure
- Review deal jackets for accuracy and completeness
- Process trade documentation, including trade payoffs
- Create and maintain files for newly acquired vehicles
- Ensure titles are properly assigned and processed
- Communicate with DMV, lenders, customers, and internal team members regarding title and registration matters
- Identify and resolve title or documentation issues
- Maintain accurate title and deal records
- Assist with inventory and service invoice processing
- Provide administrative support to the Controller and Administration & Finance team as needed
Required
- Strong knowledge of vehicle title and registration processes
- Experience working with DMV documentation and requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues independently
- Ability to work effectively with Sales, Finance, Inventory, Accounting, customers, lenders, and DMV personnel
- Idaho DMV title and registration processes
- Retail and wholesale deal processing
- Out-of-state title transactions
- Dealership management software systems
- Trade paperwork and payoffs
- Deal jacket auditing and closing
The right person for this role understands that title work doesn't get to sit.
You know what documentation is required, what can hold up a transaction, and how to keep the process moving. You stay ahead of missing paperwork, follow up on outstanding titles, and catch errors before they become bigger problems.
Success in this position means:
- Titles are processed accurately and on time
- Deal files are complete and properly closed
- Deals are funded and finalized quickly
- Outstanding titles are actively tracked and followed up on
- DMV issues are identified and resolved quickly
- Documentation is organized and easy to locate
- Internal teams know what is needed to complete a transaction
- Customers and lenders receive timely and professional communication
