PURE Home River is seeking a Cash Application Specialist who finds satisfaction in knowing the numbers match, the documentation is complete, and nothing has been left unresolved. You're the kind of person who notices when something doesn't add up. You'd rather take the extra minute to verify your work than discover an avoidable mistake later. When a payment comes through without the right information, your instinct is to track down the answer, understand what happened, and make sure it lands in the right place.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the daily processing of physical checks and cash receipts, including preparing bank deposits, posting payments into the property management system, processing security deposits and utility refunds, generating commission checks, and maintaining the documentation behind each transaction. Not every transaction will arrive perfectly packaged. You'll review checks submitted with incorrect payment instructions, research where they belong, reconcile activity between the property management system and bank deposits, and work through questions escalated by our offshore cash application team.

There's a rhythm to this work. Deposits need to be prepared, payments need to be posted, records need to match, and documentation needs to be where it belongs. Pay Range : $23 - $24/Hour

Position Hours : 40 Hours/Week

FLSA : Non-Exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepare and submit daily bank deposits and cash receipts logs for all checks received at the office
• Post daily cash receipts accurately in Property Ware, including all physical checks received at the office
• Review and research daily bank report of checks submitted with inaccurate payment instructions and determine how to process the payment
• Process security deposit refunds to tenants, including printing and mailing checks and related documentation
• Reconcile utility refund activity in Property Ware with the checks deposited into the bank
• Generate and mail commission checks
• Resolve inquiries escalated by the offshore cash application team, including cash application, property owner payments, utility refund checks, and security deposit payments
• Maintain files, scanned checks, and other documentation in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks such as data entry, filing paperwork, and routine file review and maintenance

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :

• Experience with Property Management systems such as Property Ware or Appfolio
• Experience with cash handling and bank deposits
• Hospitality/Customer Service experience preferred
