  • Assess risks and develop mitigation recommendations related to labor supply, cost escalation, and market constraints.
  • Support the should‑cost team and Category Supplier Managers with data‑driven insights for bid and change order assessments.
External Insights & Benchmarking
  • Monitor and benchmark construction labor market trends, wage rates, and industry best practices using internal and external sources.
  • Produce quarterly market intelligence updates and real‑time alerts on emerging risks or opportunities.
  • Collaborate with prime builders (GC, CM, EPC, etc.), trade contractors, local union and merit‑based organizations, industry, community, and government partners to gather and validate market data.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering
  • Communicate findings and actionable insights clearly to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support cross‑functional initiatives by providing timely and relevant analytics to empower business decisions.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external partners for effective data collection and market assessments.
Requirements

  • A relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (e.g., Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field).
  • Proven experience in analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling), experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools, familiarity with SQL or database querying, and exposure to ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and integration.
  • Experience with demand forecasts, cost models, and market intelligence reports.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., prime builders, trade contractors, unions, government, and community organizations).
  • Strong business acumen and data fluency skills, leveraging insights to support data‑driven decisions and risk mitigation.
