Contract Specialist

Our client, a government organization supporting municipal operations, is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their team. As a Contract Specialist, you will be part of the Vendor Software and Asset Management (VSAM) program supporting cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Support contract negotiations, redlines, and approval processes with legal, procurement, and business teams
• Manage vendor communications and maintain comprehensive contract documentation
• Track deliverables, deadlines, and action items across multiple stakeholders
• Facilitate meetings and ensure follow-through on decisions and commitments
• Assist with contract renewals and support procurement workflows during peak periods

What's Needed?

• Experience supporting contracts, procurement, or vendor management in a compliance-driven environment
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools such as Teams
• Familiarity with procurement platforms like Jaggaer is preferred
