Pay Range: $30.85 - $37.15 hourly
Idaho Power seeks a motivated Departmental Specialist to support our Power Supply team in Boise, Idaho. This role provides complex specialized support across multiple departments, acting as a coordinator for projects, data systems, regulatory compliance, and financial execution. The position supports critical operational and compliance functions for Power Production Engineering and Resource Development, maintaining documentation integrity and audit readiness.
ResponsibilitiesUnder minimum direction and acting on own initiative, the specialist supports senior managers and staff in maintaining data systems, researching, compiling, and analyzing data for reports and studies. The role involves confidential work requiring knowledge of company policies and regulatory procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance Management:
Work with Dam Safety staff to administer documentation, coordinate FERC notifications, and ensure regulatory deadlines are met. - Financial and Operational Execution:
Own invoice processing, accrual support, contract payment authorization, and SOX‑related reconciliation activities. - Data and Systems Governance:
Maintain system integrity across SharePoint, Teams, and Asset Suite, including work order management, material requests, and reporting datasets. - Process Ownership and Standardization:
Establish and govern administrative processes that improve efficiency, ensure consistency, and support data‑driven decision‑making. - Project and Program Coordination:
Assign and track project tasks, maintain documentation, and ensure alignment with departmental and regulatory requirements. - Departmental and Cross‑Functional Support:
Coordinate communication across internal teams and external stakeholders for timely and accurate information flow. - Quality Control and Reporting:
Ensure accuracy and completion of recurring deliverables, including monthly reporting, quarterly accruals, budget variance notes, and other operational updates.

- Education: High school Diploma or GED.
- Experience: 3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Preferred: 2 years of company experience; 2 years of large construction project experience.
- Licenses &
Certifications:
Driver's license required for periodic travel to support thermal facility staff. - Physical Requirements: Work at a desk/computer for extended periods; use office equipment, fine motor skills, occasional lifts up to 10 lbs.
- Knowledge: Department's functional areas and company policies & procedures; departmental systems (Gatekeeper, MS Project, Teams, SharePoint, Asset Suite, etc.).
- Skills: Proficient operation of systems and software; solid editing, proofreading, punctuation, spelling, and grammar in technical documents.
- Ability: Understand and apply basic mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, percentages.
