The Environmental Project Coordinator advises on company policy, environmental standards, and technical criteria related to hazardous materials and hazardous waste programs. This role supports implementation and management of corporate environmental compliance programs including hazardous waste, inspections, regulatory reporting, sharps, restricted products, and refrigeration-related compliance initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate environmental compliance programs across stores, distribution centers, plants, and fuel centers
  • Assist with retail refrigeration compliance processes
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Hazardous Waste Management Program
  • Lead California Hazardous Materials Business Plan reporting
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and respond to inquiries/NOVs
  • Support store operations, training, and compliance troubleshooting
  • Manage hazardous waste pickup coordination and cost control
  • Track training metrics and compliance reporting
  • Oversee sharps program and vendor management
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update internal programs
  • Support environmental audits and continuous improvement initiatives
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field, or equivalent experience (5 plus years)
  • Working knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Work Environment & Travel:
    Office-based role with standard working conditions; travel up to 10%
