Business Analyst
Summary
SAS Analyst – Space and Assortment (mid‑level). This role manages project responsibilities and timelines, collaborates with teams, supports clients and customers, develops space and floor‑planning strategies, and leverages industry tools to optimize space utilization. The position is based in Boise, Idaho, with typical office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities- Partners with retailers to develop space and floor‑planning strategies, providing data‑driven insights on fixture placement and/or category performance.
- Manages multiple project timelines in assigned spaces ensuring each process is thoroughly followed.
- Leverages data analysis, market trends, and external resources to optimize space utilization and support strategic merchandising decisions.
- Provides support for associates on corporate merchandising principles and practices, and maintains accurate growth‑oriented plans that align with customers’ goals.
- Direct Reports:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports. - Indirect Reports:
This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports.
- Travel and driving are not essential duties or functions of this job.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job‑related experience.
- 2‑4 years of experience with Planograms or Floor plans.
- Experience with analysis in a professional setting.
- Experience in merchandising is a plus.
- Self‑directed work ethic and desire to succeed; thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize business requests.
- Good communication – written and oral – skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Well‑organized and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Intellectually curious, eager to problem solve, and a quick learner.
- Strong work ethic and desire to succeed (often with minimal supervision).
- Microsoft Office experience: proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements
Office/ sedentary job:
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job in a primarily office environment, including sitting for extended periods (66%+ of the day), hearing the telephone, entering data on a computer, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
